Course Description
MA Applied Linguistics & Translation-Correspondence is a postgraduate Language course. Applied Linguistics is an interdisciplinary field of analysis and practice dealing with issues about language and communication in society, the media, organizations, business, and politics. Students during this M.A. program are given the tools to spot issues and to figure on solving them by applying linguistic theories and using empirical and experimental strategies. The course provides both breadths of knowledge in many areas of applied linguistics and the specialised knowledge and skills required to plan and conduct analysis within the areas of specialization within the program, like language acquisition, discourse analysis, and service-learning, among others. Students may specialize in any area of applied linguistics where faculty experience expertise.
