Course Description

MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Art) is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Fundamentals of Theatre and Drama, History of Classical Indian drama, Fundamentals of Acting, History and Development of Classical,Neo Classical and Elizabethan Theatre, Fundamentals of Theatre Design, Technical theatre, History and Development of Modern Indian Drama, Folk and Traditional Theatre, etc. The course takes a theoretical and practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as an Actor ,Dancer,Musical Theatre Performer,Stage Manager, Director,Choreographer,Music Teacher ,Dance Teacher, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
