Course Description

M.A Textile Designing (Weaving) is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Fundamentals of Design in Clothing and Textiles Laundry Science, Children's Clothing, Dyes and Finishes, Design Technique Weaving, etc. The course takes a practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Assistant Merchandiser, Interior Designer, Textile Designer, Textile Designing Executive, etc. Applicants with imaginative creativity, intellectual knowledge, aptitude for determining the quality of yarn and fabric, etc. are suitable for the course. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
