Master of Optometry involves examining, diagnosing, treating and managing visual diseases and disorders. It’s the science of optical equipment (including lenses and spectacles) that improve human vision. A qualified Optometrist can run his own eye clinic, optical shop, lens manufacturing unit, prescribe eye tests, contact lenses, exercises, collaborate with opticians, ophthalmologists, lens manufacturers, teach optometry, assist in vision screens at schools and in industries, or provide optometric counselling to patients with partial sight and hereditary vision defects.
