Course Description

M.Sc Agriculture Genetics & Plant Breeding is 2-years post graduate programme. The course offers knowledge on the genetic basis of plant breeding and provides skills in conventional breeding practices, application of biotechnology in plant improvement and variety selection technologies.The students shall provide services to seed companies, research and training institutions and offer consultancy services to plant variety development firms. The course targets graduates who are interested in specializing in areas related to plant genetic improvement, genetic resource management or seed production.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B.sc in agriculture plants breeding and genetics or in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
