Course Description

M.Sc. (Astronomy & Astrophysics) is a 2 Year Postgraduate Programme. It involves theoretical simulations, observations of electromagnetic radiations and high energy celestial body emissions to study the space beyond the solar system. This course will teach students to read the emissions from objects that are examined in different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.Graduates have opportunities in ISRO, the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Space Physics Laboratories, Space Applications Centers, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences and other Government bodies and Astrophysics Institutes in India.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
