Course Description

M.Sc Cardiac Cath and Intervention Technology is a 3 years doctoral course. The course curriculum covers topics like X-Ray Physics, Instrumentation, Hardware’s and sterility, Electrophysiology and cardiac pacemakers, Ischemic & Valvular heart disease, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Ethics in Cardiac Catheterization, Congenital Heart Diseases, Cath and Intervention in myocardial, pericardial Disease & Non cardiac intervention, Recent Advances in Intervention, etc. The course takes a theoretical and practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work in Hospitals, Medical manufacturing companies (Cardiac Pacemakers, Stents, Catheters and Balloons), Industrial Medical facilities, Educational Institution, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
