Course Description

M. Sc. in Clinical Genetics is a 2 year post graduate programme designed to study the living organism at its most basic level- genetics. The areas of study are Chromosomes, Genes, and Genomes, Human Genetics, Biostatistics and Population Genetics, Molecular Plant Breeding, Cell and Molecular Biology, Introduction to Bioinformatics, Recombinant DNA Technology, Genetics of Bacteria and Their Viruses, Fungal Genetics etc. Graduates can work as Epidemiologist, Biophysicist, Geneticists, Genomics, Senior Scientific Officer, Associate Professor, Principal Plant Breeder etc.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
