Course Description
The study of microbiology focuses on research methodologies and pathogens with scientific significance. The course aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical knowledge of medical microbiology which includes the spread of micro-organisms, disease causation, diagnosis and or treatment of pathogens of major significance to public health and advanced practical training in this diverse field. This discipline includes fundamental research on the biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, ecology, evolution and clinical aspects of microorganisms, including the host response to these agents.
