Course Description
Agricultural biotechnology, also called Agritech, is an area of agricultural science that involves the use of scientific instruments and techniques, such as molecular markers, genetic engineering, molecular diagnostics, tissue culture and vaccines, to modify living organisms: animals, plants and microorganisms. The programme revolves around equipping students with a deep understanding of all the types of biotechnology processes, including both classical and modern methods. It trains students in detecting and mapping genes, discovering their functions, breed them, and transfer them for developing specific traits into plants where they are needed.
