M.Tech. Civil Engineering (Structures) is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Finite Element Method, Matrix Methods of Structural Analysis, Theory of Plates and Shells, Structural Dynamics, Seismic Design of Structures, Industrial Structures, Foundations of Structures, Design & Construction of Offshore Structures, Design of Hydraulics Structures, Construction Management Practices, Stability of Structures, etc. The course takes a theoretical and practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Structural Engineer, Bridge Engineer, Offshore Engineer, Construction Engineer, Civil Engineer, etc. Applicants with proficiency in Mathematics, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are suitable for the course.
