M.Tech in Data and Computational Sciences is a 2 Year post graduate programme in engineering designed to impart deep knowledge along with innovative research approach to look at various domains such as governance, finance, security, transportation, healthcare, energy management, agriculture, economics, social science etc. Data science infers to the process of gaining knowledge and drawing conclusions from a large set of data produced about a process or system, and computational science plays its part by generating causal models, with the help of the patterns and conclusions inferred, in order to gain a better understanding of a phenomenon. The eligibility for the course is B.E/B.Tech in IT/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Operations/ Electronics/ Instrumentations/ Economics/ Commerce/ Computer Application with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks and above from a recognized university. Merit in the qualifying exam is the general criteria for admission. However, each college may have their own entrance examinations to screen their applicants. The course fee may range from 1.40 Lakh to 9 Lakh on an average.
