Course Description

M.Tech Iron and Steel Technology is a full time two-year post-graduate degree course for metallurgical, engineering, operating and maintenance personnel iron and steel industry. Iron & Steel Technology course provides students with the latest information on breakthroughs and trends in equipment, processes and operating practices in the iron and steel industries. Students will be learning about topics in the curriculum which are Raw materials preparation for iron and steel making, Beneficiation of raw materials and agglomeration, Blast furnace iron making and its recent advancement, Alternate routes of the iron-making process, Primary steelmaking, Clean steel making, Modeling of the steelmaking process, Continuous casting and its recent development, Hot deformation of steel and Energy and Environmental management in iron and steel making.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B.E. / B.Tech Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
