Course Description
MFA Dance is a postgraduate Acting, Dance & Drama course. The Master of Fine Arts in dance is an academic degree focused on research-based activities associated with dance aesthetics, theory, history, cultural studies, or educational perspectives. Designed for dance students who need vigorous studio practice, this master’s degree is usually a step toward the ph.D. or other research and writing activities. The program targeted dance performance and/or choreography in an interdisciplinary environment of reflective practice. Courses in dance technique, choreography, arts management, pedagogy, technology, dance legacy, and fields associated with the artistic method and scholarship form the core syllabus.
