Course Description
MOT Orthopedics is a 2 Year Postgraduate Programme. Occupational therapy aims at restoring the mental and physical functioning of an individual with disability/ illness to the highest possibility. MOT in Orthopaedics involves restoration of the functioning for conditions such as post-fracture stiffness, frozen shoulders, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, amputation, ankylosing spondylitis, congenital disorders, neurological – spinal ailments, strokes etc. Training is provided in areas such as Research methodology and biostatistics, Pedagogy in occupational therapy, Application of occupational therapy in rehabilitation, Administration management & ethical issues, Role of occupational therapy in physical dysfunctions, Occupational therapy in musculoskeletal disorders, Role of occupational therapy in mental health etc. After completing the course, one can pursue their career as Osteopath, Lecturer, Researcher, Therapy Manager, Research Assistant, Customer Care Assistant, Assistant Physiotherapist, Sports Physio Rehabilitator, Occupational Therapist, Service Delivery Manager.
