Ph.D Anesthesiology is a doctoral program. The course focuses on the in depth study of how our bodies respond to numerous kinds of anaesthetics. The course curriculum covers Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology of various diseases, Medicine, Physics, Perioperative Anaesthesia management, Theory and practice of various techniques/ aspects of Routine & Emergency cases of General Anaesthesia, History of Anaesthesia, Airway Management, Basic & Advanced Cardiopulmonary & Cerebral Resuscitation (CPCR), Acid base & Fluid management, Arterial, Central Venous and P.A. Lines, Anaesthetic drugs used in a perioperative care, Equipments, Medical gases, Day Care/Outpatient Anaesthesia, Remote Location Anaesthesia, Emergency Anaesthesia, Monitored Anaesthesia, Labour Analgesia, Pain relief, Critical care practice, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Complications of Anaesthetic procedures, its prevention, detection and management, Anaesthesia standards: e.g. Minimum monitoring standard, Ethics in Anaesthesia, Medicolegal aspects in Anaesthesia, etc.
