Course Description

PhD in Agronomy is a Doctoral level course of 3 years. The Course is a thesis programme dedicated to the study and research of Agricultural Plants for Food, Fibre, Fuel and other industrial or commercial applications. The course covers a wide range of Branches that is significant to Agronomy like plant breeding, biotechnology, soil science, agroecology, and theoretical modelling etc. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get job roles as agronomists, Soil Scientists, Agro Sales Manager etc in Large Retail Corporations.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
