Course Description
Prosthodontics is a branch of dentistry. The specialty focuses on the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. Ph.D prosthodontics is a Doctorate Medical Dentistry course. The course covers topics such as Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Prosthodontics including Crown and Bridge and Implantology, Conservative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Pedodontics and Children’s Preventive Dentistry, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Oral Biology Community, Social and Preventive Dentistry, etc. After completion of the course, candidates can work in Community Healthcare Centres, Defense Services, Government Hospitals, Private Clinics, etc.
