Course Description

PhD in Robotics and Automation Engineering is a Doctoral level course of 3 years. The Course is a thesis programme that deals with study and research in Automated systems that uses integration of Computer Engineering and Mechanics or Smart Mechanical systems integrated with programmable Software to function as an automated or independent system. The course covers extensive research and study in concepts like Motion Planning, Human-Robot Interaction, Perception and robotics, Image, tactile and force sensors, Dynamics, control and computer vision, Kinematics and locomotion etc. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get job roles as Robotics engineer, Engineering product managers, Robotics technician, University Professors in various Government and Private sectors. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 8 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete ME or Mtech or MSc in Computer Engineering or Mechanical related disciplines and students are expected to score well in UGC NET entrance exams. Average Fees for the course is between 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
