Course Description

Ph.D Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics is a state-of-the-art histocompatibility and immunogenetics testing laboratory. It concentrates on weakening both the acute and chronic phases of immune responses so that it can facilitate the acceptance of foreign organ and tissue transplants. Candidate can participate in HLA clinical testing, review of testing reports, and consultation of clinical cases. With the help of this study patients can undergo with the transplantation which extensively evaluates to assess their HLA type, the presence of existing anti-HLA antibodies and to determine the degree of matching with the transplant donor. The Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics is actively involved in a number of research activities regarding the alloimmune response in solid-organ transplantation.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed M.Sc. Immunology/ Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Life Sciences or MBBS, MD Biochemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, Pathology, Laboratory Medicine from recognised university.
