Course Description

(PG) Diploma Anaesthesiology (DA) is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Applied Anatomy and Physiology, General therapeutics, Haematological, Application of pharmacological principles for the management of General anaesthesia, Muscle Function, Regional anaesthesia, Cardiovascular Physiology, Control of acute pain (including intraoperative analgesia and postoperative pain management) and chronic pain, etc. The course takes a practical and theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Anaesthetist, Radiologist, Medical Consultant, etc. Applicants can further become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
