Course Description

B.Tech Mineral and Metallurgical Engineering is a 4 years undergraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Fuels, Furnaces and Refractories, Transport Phenomenon, Engineering Graphics, Mineral Beneficiation, Material Science Machine Elements and Machining, Metallurgical Thermodynamics, Phase Transformation and Mechanical Metallurgy, Elements of Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Behaviour and Testing of Materials, etc. The course takes a practical and theory based approach . On completion of the course, one can work as Production Metallurgy, Welding Engineer, Process Design Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, etc. Applicants can further get into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
