Course Description
The course aims to improve the care of critically ill patients by acquiring, discussing, distributing, and promoting evidence-based information relevant to the disease in general. Critical care is medical care for people who have life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The study also provides better understanding of the symptoms of Pulmonary hypertension such as Fatigue,
Dizziness or fainting spells,Shortness of breath and Chest pressure or pain. The candidates learn about diagnostics and treatments on bronchodilator and inhalers. The secondary level focus is on interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease, heart-lung and lung transplantation, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease. It also provides pre-operative evaluations and comprehensive pulmonary function testing. The course includes the whole range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures associated with the practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine: flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy with all ancillary procedures, endotracheal intubation, arterial and central venous line placement, thoracentesis and closed pleural biopsy, bedside pulmonary artery catheterization as well as chest tube placement.The program provides the highest quality training in clinical pulmonary and critical care medicine, and to provide experience in the fundamentals of clinical and basic science research.
