Course Description

MD Forensic Medicine and Toxicology is a 2 Year Postgraduate programme in forensic science that focuses on forensic, clinical, emergency, environmental, medico-legal and occupational aspects of toxicology. Training is provided in areas such as Basic medical sciences, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Toxicology & Medical Jurisprudence, Forensic Pathology including Forensic immunology & Recent advances, Autopsy case (long case), Procedures, Observations, Interpretation, Making of report, Medico-legal report writing, Injury case, Sexual offense case, Age determination case, Poisoning case etc. After completing the course, one can pursue the career in law enforcement agencies, police, the legal system, investigative services of the government and private agencies.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
