Course Description
This course covers the fundamentals of Chaplaincy research with an emphasis on the impact of Spirituality/Religion on healthcare and on religiously informed, relationally skillful chaplaincy. The study involves research design, recruiting subjects, data analysis, application of research to chaplaincy, and article submission and publishing. Candidates are trained to provide support during a crisis as well as during ongoing recovery. Candidates are taught to provide clinical care in their assigned units and the other half to read and analyze material, write analyses, create presentations, research materials for their projects and also attend didactics.
