Course Description

MA in Economics with specialization in Energy Economics is a 2 year post graduate course. The programme is aimed at letting students gain expertise in problem solving with specialized skills in tackling economic problems faced by Energy industries in order to reap maximum profit. The course covers a wide range of fundamental concepts like Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, Advanced Resource Economics, Advanced Mining and Evaluation, Management of Technology for Energy, Research Methods for Energy Analysis etc. Upon completion of the programme candidates have career prospects in Energy Resource organizations, Consultancy firms, Energy Business Firms etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 4 to 8 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation. Eligibility criteria requires candidates graduate degree with BA in economics with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Fees in Universities are somewhere between 1 lakhs to 2 Lakhs INR depending on the institutions.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
