Course Description

M.Phil in Social Work focuses on building an advanced social research and analytical skills. Aim of this course to provide an understanding of the discipline of social work through specific thematic theorizations, theoretical reports, and a complex understanding of the field to enable a framework. This course uses multi method and trans-disciplinary training to prepare students as future leaders in education and social work research. In this course, students learn introduction to social work, human methods, research methods, generalist practices, and field practices. Major topics include: psychopathology, racial justice, qualitative research, quantitative research, development of social policy, and ethics in social work. Students gain knowledge on practical situations and real world problems.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Master’s degree in social work or any equivalent stream in recognized university by UGC with minimum of 55% marks.Most of the colleges conduct some common entrance exam like NET, Research Aptitude Test, etc. Based on these exam results students are selected
