Course Description

M.Tech. Process Metallurgy or Master of Technology in Process Metallurgy is a postgraduate Metallurgical Engineering course. The course is concerned with the development, production, and processing of ferrous, non-ferrous, and mineral materials. It is the basis for innovative products and new technological developments in the fields of industry, technology, and medicine. Research in this department focuses on materials design. The coursework will prepare individuals to apply metallurgical principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of metal components of structural, power, transmission, and moving systems, and the analysis of engineering problems such as stress, creep, failure, alloy behavior, optimal manufacturing processes, and related design considerations. The duration of the course is two years and it is many scopes after its successful completion in many fields.
