Course Description

MPT in Orthopaedics is a 2-years postgraduate course in the field of physiotherapy with Orthopedic Manual Therapy as its specialisation. The course aims to offer both theoretical and practical knowledge to students. Candidates are taught about the treatment of the musculoskeletal system when it suffers trauma or injury. The wide range of topics that are covered in this course are Medical and Surgical Management, Pedagogy in Physiotherapy Education, Physiotherapy Management, Management, Administration and Ethical Issues, Bio-mechanics, Research Methodology and Biostatistics, etc. on completion of the course, one can work in defence establishments, medical institutions, educational institutions, sports training facilities, rehabilitation centres for the physically handicapped, and Orthopaedic departments of private hospitals.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
