Course Description

PhD in Humanities is a Doctoral level course of 3 years. The Course is a thesis programme that is dedicate to research activities in the domain Human Society, Culture and Human Thoughts. The course covers many concepts related to humanities like Anthropology, Archaeology, Classics, Law and politics, Literature, Philosophy, Religion, Human Rights and Humanistic Theories etc. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get jobs like Higher Education Administrator, Financial Analyst, Government Policy Advisor, Secondary School Teacher/Learning Consultants in various private and government sectors. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 5 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete Masters in Arts related discipline with minimum aggregate of 55%. Average Fees for the course is between 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
