Course Description

Ph.D in Aquaculture is 3-5 years research based program. Aquaculture also called aqua-farming, is the farming of aquatic beings, like mollusks, aquatic plants, fish and crustaceans. The course is job orienting in nature that opens numerous opportunities after passing it. In this course, students gain knowledge about aquaculture and the farming of aquatic beings, like fish, mollusks, scavengers, and aquatic plants. It includes the investigation of Biodiversity, Aquatic Toxicology, Fish Diseases, Fish Nutrition and Immunology. The students lead examinations on varied parts of frogs, fish, and mice as experimental models.The course also consists of project work and generating thesis at the end of the program, the topic will be suggested by the faculty of the colleges.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in aquaculture or in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
