Course Description

The study diversifies between the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. The study focuses on the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of diseases and disorders of the face and jaws. The treatments include extraction of wisdom teeth, misaligned jaws, tumors and cysts of the jaw and mouth, and to perform dental implant surgery. The study of maxillofacial focuses on reconstructive surgery of the face, facial trauma surgery, the oral cavity, head and neck, mouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery. The overall scope of practice is head and neck cancer, microvascular reconstruction, craniofacial surgery and cranio-maxillofacial trauma, skin cancer, facial deformity, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial surgery, TMJ surgery and cosmetic facial surgery.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified M.Sc in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or any equivalent.
