Course Description

PhD in Urban Management and Governance is a Doctoral level research oriented 3 years course. The Course inculcates students with in-depth knowledge of planning and development of Infrastructure, Real Estate, Transport, Government Services etc. The course covers a wide range of fundamental subjects related to Urban planning like Environment Sustainability, Urban Economic Development and Resilience, Urban Land Governance for Sustainable Development, Urban Housing, Equity and Social Justice. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get job roles as in Real estates, Construction and Urban development Companies, Architectural companies, Government Bureaucracies, Municipalities etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 5 to 10 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete a Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban planning with minimum 55% aggregate. Fees in Universities are somewhere between 50K o 2 Lakhs INR depending on the institutions

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
