Post Basic Diploma in Oncology Nursing (PBDON) is supposed to fulfill the ever-increasing demand. The course is meant for qualified nurses (GNM/B.Sc.) for one academic year. The aim of the course is to upgrade the knowledge and skills of trained nurses to form a cadre of Specialty Trained medical specialty Nurses, who will be capable of handling and maintaining venous access devices like PICC, central lines, ports, chemotherapy drug administration, brachytherapy, minor surgical procedures, manage the common symptoms and care of the critically and terminally unwell cancer patients.
