Course Description

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Community Rehabilitation is a 2 years post graduate program. It is the science of physical movement that is aimed at preventing diseases and disabilities. The curriculum covers a whole wide range of topics. Some of these are Definition of Community, Concepts of Community, Community Based/Institutional Based Rehabilitation, WHO definition of Health & Disease, Health Care Delivery System, Disability types, evaluation & prevention, PWD Act (2001), Modes of Disability, Attitudes towards disabled, Health Promotion for All, peri-pubertal age group, women, aged, obese/overweight individuals, cardiovascular & pulmonary conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, metabolic conditions & sports person, Woman & Child Care, Geriatrics, Industrial Health.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in physiotherapy or in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
