PhD Metallurgical Engineering is a Doctoral level course of 3 years. The Course is a thesis programme that deals with study and research in Material Science and composition of metal alloys and their physical and chemical behaviours in different environmental conditions. The course covers extensive research in various concepts related to metallurgical science like metal extraction, Alloy production, metalworking process, Heat treatments, plating, Metallurgical Thermodynamics, Foundry Technology, Testing etc. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get job roles as Metallurgical Engineer, Mining Scientist, Industrial Scientists in various Metal or Metalworking industries like JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Reliance industries, Mining industries.
