Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Oncology Physiotherapy is a 2 years post graduate course in the field of physiotherapy with oncology as its specialization. Oncology is a branch of medicine that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The course is designed to provide students in depth information on topics like Oncology- Epidemiology, classification, symptomatology, patho-physiology and management of different oncological conditions, Pediatric oncology, Physical therapy for metastatic cancer,Physiotherapy interventions in Head Neck Cancer including oral cancers, Physiotherapy intervention for Bone tumors, Chemotherapy and post chemotherapy Physiotherapy intervention including Neuro-musculoskeletal complications, Physiotherapy management of Lung and respiratory tract cancer, Postoperative management of Cancer patients, Sexual dysfunction in cancer patients and its rehabilitation, etc.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed BPT or in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
